We are proud to announce that the DigInTraCE coordinator, I-SENSE Group / ICCS, and in particular its Industry 5.0 & Smart Manufacturing Division has been awarded a prestigious certification for its outstanding contribution to sustainability in robotics during ERF2025!
This recognition highlights the groundbreaking work of I-SENSE Group in developing robotic-based sorting systems for sustainable waste management, innovations that were featured in the “Sustainable Robotics” workshop during the forum.
The awarded system combines i) Autonomous robotic platforms ii) AI-powered data fusion iii) Advanced multi-sensor agents. These technologies are revolutionizing the waste sorting and recycling process — aiming to boost the use of recycled materials in production chains, while minimizing the environmental impact.
By integrating agile industrial sorters and collaborative robotics, our solution optimizes resource recovery and significantly reduces the environmental footprint of waste management operations. This dual-focused approach not only enhances the sustainability of robotic systems themselves—through energy-efficient design, lifecycle analysis, and material circularity—but also employs these systems to drive environmental protection, economic efficiency, and social inclusion in urban and industrial settings.
This achievement marks a key milestone in the mission to align innovation with sustainability, driving real-world impact through next-generation technologies. At DigInTraCE, we are extremely proud to see our vision for next-generation, impact-driven technology recognized on the European stage.
