DiginTrace was recently showcased at the Textile EPR Masterclass | Webinar 4: Textile-to-textile recycling, held on 2 April 2026.

During the webinar, our partner Birgit Stubbe from Centexbel presented key insights related to the DiginTrace project, focusing on the current state of thermomechanical recycling of textiles. The presentation explored the fundamentals of this recycling approach, highlighting its role in recovering polymers from textile waste and reintroducing them into new production cycles.

The session also addressed important technical challenges, including material contamination, viscosity degradation, and feedstock quality, as well as emerging solutions and industrial practices that aim to improve recycling efficiency and output quality. In addition, Centexbel shared research perspectives and ongoing developments contributing to the advancement of textile circularity.

DigInTraCe’s presence in such high-level discussions reinforces its commitment to supporting innovation and knowledge exchange in the transition towards a more sustainable and circular textile ecosystem.
